Video Storytelling
Creative Research Project: "The Documented"
This multimedia project documents the stories of Michigan State University students who deal with the undocumented status of family members or international students who face persistent uncertainty that they will not be allowed to enter or stay in the country because of new travel bans. This initiative captures the joy of belonging and the heartache of separation because of the fear of deportation. The goal of this project and the website was to give an insight into the realities of immigrants and migrants, documented and undocumented, refugees and those with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival status as well as international students as they try to pursue a better life in the form of a U.S. college degree. This project was special to me because as an international student myself, I deeply empathize with the struggles non-citizen students face every day.

Product Thinking Class Project: The Pravasi
For a media innovation and product thinking class project, I came with the idea and design for The Pravasi, a comprehensive news website tailored to Indian international students in the U.S. The project involved selecting a community or news organization, identifying a persistent issue and delivering a prototype solution. The process included researching audience needs, designing a prototype website layout, and integrating user feedback to improve navigation, community interaction, and accessibility. The Pravasi aims to be a news and community platform for Indian international students and non-immigrant professionals in the U.S. that would feature visa updates, job market insights, and community forums, using a color scheme inspired by the Indian flag. Here's a glimpse of my vision:
Newsletter: A draft
As part of a class project for my MA in Journalism program, I explored and observed an assigned neighborhood in Washington, D.C., and created a supposed newsletter featuring the neighborhood's historical facts, demographic information, street interviews, landmarks etc.
